MCKINNEY — Spot the rainbow-colored water slides towering on Alma Road in the city’s west side, and you’ll find its new aquatics facility.
For more than a decade, city leaders have worked to build the $36 million Apex Centre project, which opens in less than a month to people in and outside McKinney.
Its long-awaited arrival drew more than 1,000 people to a Saturday ribbon-cutting at the 80,000-square-foot facility.
